VideoPresence Inc. is dedicated to providing secure high resolution video and data network solutions. The VideoPresence private network and advanced family of telepresence codecs provide a scalable high resolution Telepresence experience for public or private organizations. Each client is guaranteed 24x7 security and low latency data transport to maximize collaborative telepresence experience.

Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, VideoPresence is nestled in the high tech development capital of the Northwest. The software development, engineering, and manufacturing of the VideoPresence Telepresence CODEC is Oregon based. The VideoPresence network team can provide domestic and international managed network services to securely connect your geographically dispersed office locations.

Our Team

Steve Hensley, Chairman and CEO, is the creator and visionary of VideoPresence, his fourth start up. He brings 30 years of communications industry experience to this business venture as well as the intellectual property that was employed to develop the VideoPresence Telepresence Set Top Box. Prior to this venture Steve was CTO and co-founder at New Edge Networks, where he had a multi-faceted focus. He raised $125 million in financing; designed and built a national network encompassing 600+ central offices in over 300 markets; and provided senior level support for marketing, product development, hardware and software design, backbone connectivity, traffic engineering, vendor selection, contract negotiation, media relations, network costs, network management and overall network reliability. Prior to New Edge, Mr. Hensley was Vice President of Engineering at GST (purchased by Time Warner Telecom), responsible for all optical transport and switching, voice switching and data networking, which included IP, Frame Relay, ATM and Internet Service Provider offerings. Mr. Hensley held similar positions at Pacific Telecom (purchased by Century Telecom) and Alascom (purchased by AT&T).

R.M. (Bob) Schilling Ph.D., Vice President/Director of Human Relations. Bob is a seasoned vetern in the telecom industry. Thirty years of experience in the combined fields of engineering and senior management bring a strong suite of skills to the company. Immediately prior to making a commitment to VideoPresence, Bob was a part of the start up team of Integra Telecom as a senior manager and mentor of managerial candidates. For twenty-five years prior to Integra telecom, Bob was a part of PTI - Alascom. As a senior manager he was responsible for capital and expense budgets of $220 million annually. As an experienced manager and an eager adult learner, Bob entered graduate school and completed a PH.D. in Human Development. This background and certification in the HBDI (Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument) reference tool has equipped Bob with a skill set for addressing preference, productivity and effectiveness in the corporate work place. Bob has a BSET from Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio and an MA and Ph.D. from Fielding Graduate School in Santa Barbara, California

James Turner, B.Sc., Vice President Product Development. James is a seasoned entrepreneur with 20+ years experience founding and growing technology and service companies. His track record includes founding three public companies and 2 that have achieved over $100M in sales. James has had a wide range of real world experience that includes leading software development teams, creating/designing and performing product requirements analysis, system requirements and supervising implementation and development for a wide range of products and running corporate operations for numerous companies.In addition, James brings a wide range of business skills and experience that are valuable to any team including, extensive sales and marketing experience both in personal direct sales, and managing a sales force of 80+ individuals. James has held roles as diverse as COO, Acting CFO, VP Product Development, VP Sales and Marketing and in the past several years has successfully negotiated international distribution, multi-million dollar strategic funding investments and equity placement on behalf of clients firms.

Neil Schilling, Vice President Sales and Marketing. Neil is an expert in catalyzing dynamic revenue growth with 12 years of experience implementing strategic business solutions in the Fortune 500 company. Prior to joining VPI, Neil was an original member of the Black and Decker sales and marketing team that successfully launched DEWALT INDUSTRIAL power tools into North America. His track record includes recruiting, managing, and motivating a sales team to rapidly capture market share and quickly grow revenues from $7,500,000 to $40,000,000 + in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and Hawaii. In addition, Neil has held a wide variety of sales and marketing roles during his tenure with DEWALT, focusing on brand strategy, channel management, national accounts, strategic account management, contract negotiations, risk management, and consultative selling in the retail, commercial and wholesale marketplace.
